Hytemp drives up export through multilingual website
October 27 , 2008
Hytemp, the leading global supplier of nickel-based super alloys and special stainless steels, is investing in a new international website to fuel export growth.
Sheffield-based Hytemp specialises in forgings, bars and machined parts for the oil, gas, nuclear and petrochemical industries, and has representation in the US, Singapore and across Europe.
The new site is being developed by NetConstruct and, when launched in November, will include six languages and digital video to enhance the company's competitive advantage in global markets.
Hytemp Director Alastair Lang said: "We supply advanced metals and high precision manufactured components to the world's energy producing industries. Our new website will enhance the online services and support we provide to our customers."
David Bentley, Director of Leeds-based NetConstruct, said: "The Hytemp website is a further example of the opportunities the web offers to exporting manufacturers. The site includes multilingual content and digital video - areas where NetConstruct has a wealth of expertise, and which offer huge benefits to British exporters."
NetConstruct develops websites for a wide range of clients who operate internationally. The company was recently commissioned by the regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward, to develop a new portal to attract international inward investment to the Yorkshire region.
Hytemp's origins go back to 1923 when Tom Green, based in the Hillsborough area of Sheffield, founded Hillfoot Foundry. Today the company is part of the Murray International Group, which has a turnover of £450m and 3,500 employees worldwide.
