Lots on offer at Tennants Auctioneers

June 29 , 2009

A new customised catalogue and bidding system is helping Tennants, the national auctioneers, to expand their online business worldwide. Rodney Tennant & David Bentley, with the new Tennants website and a Royal Worcester vase due for auction soon, valued at £5,000

Designed to meet growing demand from web users, we wrote the customised online catalogue system especially for Tennants. It integrates with the auctioneers’ bid management system and includes a searchable online database typically covering several thousand lots, with related photographs and condition reports.

Director Rodney Tennant says:
“The upgrade enables online bidding and interested parties can set up a “My Watch List” to track lots through the auctions with a personal archive of their progress. New functionality also allows online viewers to zoom in on items and examine them in fine detail.”

NetConstruct managing director David Bentley adds:
“Our WebVU production team has included an introductory video showing an auction in full flow during one of Tennants’ prestigious fine art sales. The site also has six languages, including Chinese and Russian, reflecting Tennants’ broad overseas following.”

The site is powered by Kentico’s .NET content management system, for which we are a UK Top 5 reseller. Kentico provides outstanding flexibility, cost-effectiveness and ease of use for website managers and administrators.
