Theakstons is one of the UK’s most traditional brewers. However with real ale drinking on the rise with a younger audience – matching customers’ digital expectations while still retaining the mood of heritage and craft at the heart of the brand was the crux of our challenge. And we love a good challenge!
A suite of tools to get you as close to the ales via your digital device was delivered. A pub-finder highlights the best Theakstons hostelries; the brew guide provides tasting notes and characteristics that echo fine wine descriptions, and the shop makes getting your hands on an array of ale-influenced food, drink and wares just a handful of clicks away.
We knew we had to capture the atmospheric mood of the brand both at ‘heart of Yorkshire’ and its pubs at the heart of many communities. We filmed and edited a suite of short-form clips that are peppered throughout the site as part of the UI as well as longer pieces as rich and compelling content that brews the perfect Theakstons flavour.
